Building & Construction

JFK International Airport

At JFK International Airport in New York City, massive renovations are currently under way. At a cost of nearly $9 billion, it is one of the largest construction projects in the nation. When completed, the remodeled airport will make air travel in and out of the New York area easier for millions of passengers. The photo essay that follows provides a view of the construction at JFK that few will ever see and appreciate: the men and women of the New York City Building Trades Unions doing the work.
