Kosiec "Stanley" Stanislaw is a Polish immigrant and a member of Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 78. Stanley works daily removing lead and asbestos from buildings throughout New York City. Because of the hazardous nature of his job, when he dresses for work, he must cover himself with a protective jumpsuit, boots, gloves, goggles, a breathing mask, and a helmet.
