Ivanei Nascimento is a Brazilian immigrant and home care attendant in Queens, New York. She works seven days a week and earns $7.00/hour looking after an elderly patient who is bed-ridden and suffers from dementia. Her work is part of a trend toward more personalized care for an aging population in the United States.
