Water Tower Workers Keep It Flowing

Union members of the Carpenters Local 1536 (Timbermen) do the dangerous and unseen work throughout New York City that keeps water running in our homes. They build, dismantle and repair water towers throughout the five boroughs of the city. Without water towers, there would not be enough pressure to allow water utilities to function. While most people know very little about the specialty of their skills, almost every New Yorker benefits from their work each time they turn on a faucet, flush a toilet or take a shower.
